I was inspired by another blog post to try a quick craft tonight. I love scarves so I thought this would be great for me. (Check out the link to see a good example).
I used a t-shirt that was a bit too small (however the result is that it’s a bit too short to go around my neck twice and be loose enough, so I might make another one with a larger t-shirt).
Perhaps I’ll use this one as a headband until I find a larger shirt 🙂
I’ve been doing many other handy, crafty things this month, but haven’t had a chance to write anything about them. Last night I sewed a new doll stroller seat for the kids, which thrilled my daughter.
I forgot that I am more of an introvert than an extrovert, until I started reading the book called Quiet: the power of introverts. I have been so busy over the past few months with work and social activities, my introvert side is starting to miss its reclusive crafts and art. So hopefully I will be able to carve out more time for my art. I still have a novel brewing somewhere too.
****UPDATE****
I have now made three of these; I think I have it down to a science now. I took a few more photos on the second try:
Year of Living Craftily
Thanks so much for the link back! I’m glad you liked the project. Your scarf looks great 🙂
Delight-filled Leaves Art
Thanks for the idea! I made another one today…this time I used an adult large shirt so now it’s almost too big. I have one more to go 🙂
