The Enchantments, Part 2 With balmy, sunny weather The Enchantments, Part 2 With balmy, sunny weather, we decided not to add on Dragon's Tail or Little Annapurna (which our group climbed in 2023). Instead we just meandered through the core area, sadly not seeing any mountain goats. We had lunch on a rock over Crystal Lake and wandered past the enchanting Inspiration Lake. #goldenlarches #hikingadventures #enchantments
The Enchantments 🍂 Part 1 We revisited this incred The Enchantments 🍂 Part 1 We revisited this incredible area on a 30+ km through hike. The weather was sunny and the larches were popping. We got a place on a shuttle to the starting point and hiked the first section in the dark, steadily gaining elevation in the forest, eventually under a pink sunrise. Colchck Lake was serene. After a snack we climbed Asgaard Pass, going slowly to try to let the sun light up the colour of the lake and the golden needles. Being mid-week, there were only a handful of other hikers below us. #larches #theenchantments #pnwwonderland
We weren't sure if we'd have views or a sunset. Th We weren't sure if we'd have views or a sunset. The views ended up being so clear, plus a full moonrise. Mt. Baker looked so serene in a new coat of snow, hovering in a pastel sky.
These pictures show some issue the beautiful lands These pictures show some issue the beautiful landscapes as we hiked up to Hat Mountain, traversing Fat Ass Peak. You can see all three peaks in the first photo (descending Hat, the bump ahead is Fat Ass Peak, and Brunswick looms behind). Me summiting Hat after a long climb. Almost up Hat Mountain. There was a little easy scrambling/bushwacking Brunswick Lake Cool mushroom The first part of the trail goes almost all the way to Tunnel Bluff before going up. Nice lush trail!
