One of the main things that has inspired my art so far is “oldness.” Having grown up on a heritage farm where I spent hours scavenging for old things in the barns and fields, it is quite ingrained in me.
I’ve been gathering and reading through a collection of old letters, receipts, and journals found in my late great aunt’s home. I can’t wait to get my hands dirty to use some of these treasures in my next mixed media session at Emily Carr Institute.
