class=\"light-dropshaddow\"\/><\/a><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n<p>As usual, it would seem, the changing of the seasons brought with it my desire to paint. You will not recognize this painting, although looking back over this blog, I think it is the last <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nancyduckhildebrand.com\/2012\/06\/24\/1180\/\">painting I worked on,<\/a> almost four months ago!<\/p>\n<p>Probably the only remaining element visible from the earlier version is the bar of musical notes at the bottom right, which you can see in this detail:<\/p>\n<p>I reverted to my old ways, with lots of scribbling, mark making, collage of old things and texture.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve been hoping to use that piece of cardboard with the holes for years. It is hard to see in the photo, but I echoed the shape throughout the painting, and in the sky. Actually I think I will have to retouch the sky as some of my work got smeared when I was putting a gel over it.<\/p>\n<p>Yes, I made this picture with a plastic fork, among other things.<\/p>\n<p>The cat was a steady studio companion.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As usual, it would seem, the changing of the seasons brought with it my desire to paint.
